We visited the castle on our last trip back to the UK - last summer - and it was so great to be immersed in such history. I really miss that living in NZ. I often yearn for a Sunday touring one of the National Trust properties or romping on the ancient rights of way. Beautiful! Largely, I think, because they still have the roof.
